Mission Statement
Creed Classical School partners with Christian parents to provide a classical, Christian education that disciples and equips students in Truth, Goodness, and Beauty for joyful submission to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Statement of Faith
Creed Classical School admits students from families who profess the historic Christian faith. The following statement of faith describes the minimum understanding of and subscription to Christian belief required of parents enrolling students in the school.
The statement of faith adopted by Creed Classical School is limited to core Christian doctrine, which is considered to be central to all Christian denominations, and which sets Protestant Christianity apart from other faiths. For our purposes, a Christian is one who has heard the word of truth, Gospel (Col. 1:5), as summarized in the statement below, and who has responded to that message in genuine repentance and faith. He confesses with his mouth and believes in his heart that Jesus is Lord, that He died for his sins, and that God raised Him from the dead (Rom.10:9,10).
WE BELIEVE
-We believe the Bible alone to be the inspired Word of God, the sufficient and infallible authority for faith and practice, and can only be fully interpreted by itself. (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:20-21)
-We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Governor of everything that has been made who works all things for His glory. (1 Cor 8:6)
-We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Phil 2:6-11, 1 John 3:16)
-We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these distinct, God-ordained, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen. 1:26-27, 2:23, 5:1-2)
-We believe that God instituted human marriage between one man and one woman to meet our need for companionship, to create new life, to provide the basis for a stable human society, and to reflect God’s covenantal relationship with His people. God ordained that marriage be a lifelong union between one man and one woman as the basis for the family, which is entrusted with the responsibility for raising and educating children; that sexual union be for use exclusively within the bonds of marriage; and that all sexual intimacy outside of heterosexual, monogamous marriage is contrary to God’s design and purpose. (Gen. 2:24, Matt. 19:4-6, Eph. 5:31; 1 Thess. 4:3-8)
-We believe that through Adam’s sin all fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God, so that every faculty of our humanity is corrupted by sin. (Rom 3:23, 5:12-21)
-We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone secured by Christ alone. We believe that faith without works is dead. (2 Cor. 5:21, Eph 2:8,9, James 2:14-26)
-We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Rom 5:5, 1 Cor 3:16, Eph 4:30)
-We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation. (John 10:27- 30, Rom 6:23, Matt 25:46)
-We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus. (Eph 4:11-13, Eph 3:10, 1 Cor 12:27)
